(OTTAWA) – John Baird, Member of Parliament for Ottawa West-Nepean, officially opened the Ottawa SuperEX at Lansdowne Park on Thursday, August 16th. Admission between 12:00pm to 6:00pm was free to all visitors courtesy of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association. Their mascot Corn Cob Bob cut the ribbon with Mr. Baird to open the 2007 Ottawa SuperEX.
“The Ottawa SuperEX is a great local tradition and I am happy to be here for the opening of this year’s exciting exhibition,” said Baird, a lifelong resident of Nepean. “For over 100 years the Ottawa SuperEX has given us a fantastic venue to enjoy the last few weeks of summer in our great city.”
