John Baird, MP Visits Local Service Canada Office

OTTAWA - John Baird, Member of Parliament for the riding of Ottawa West-Nepean was on hand today to meet with public service employees at the Service Canada building located at the Lincoln Heights mall.

The main purpose of the meeting was to allow Mr. Baird the opportunity to see members of the federal public service in action and learn, first hand, from front line staff and management about the types of inquiries and services offered by the Ottawa West Service Canada office.

"It's great to be able to take time to meet the men and women who work hard for the constituents of my riding and also to gain a better understanding of the services that are offered at this location," said Baird. "Today's meeting provides me with more information to better answer the questions of my constituents, who are my number one priority."

The Service Canada offices at Lincoln Heights mall offers many services to the public including information about Employment Insurance, Social Security cards, Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security and the recently added service of issuing Please Craft Licenses.
